I'm movin to ft. Stewart in May when i finish getting my bachelors degree and when my fiancé gets back from Afghanistan but unfortunately I'm stuck doing everything myself! Was wondering if you knew anything about the area - I found housing fairly close to gate 7. Any tips? Thanks :)
I lived right next to gaye 7 at The Columns (independence place). It’s a really nice apartment complex and its still fairly new, only like 3 or 4 years old I think. Def affordable an they work with military on leases, in case you have to break your lease for another duty station etc, there’s no fee for that type of thing. Not a bad area, but the city of Hinesville in general can get boring. I do miss it sometimes, but my sister still lives there so I go back to visit every once in a while. She’s in Afghanistan right now too so good luck to you as your fiancé. :)
